Every year Tally Ho Shires spends the day at Riverside Middle School with their horses.  Tally Ho's Kim Murchison, who teaches 7th grade science at Riverside, along with Judy Brodland (Sauk Mountain Shires), treat students, faculty and Staff at Riverside Middle School to a hands-on delight as they immerse themselves in the wondrous experience of the Shire Draft Horse.  In addition to discussing how much these horses weigh, their height, gestation periods, and how much they eat, we taught the kids to drive the hay wagon and skid logs.  Take a few minutes to absorb the undeniable emotion splashed across the faces of these youngsters - it will warm your heart.  (All photos by Judy Brodland).
